Kwaiken
The Kwaiken knife is a fixed blade knife with a 3.5 inch blade made of 1095 high carbon steel. The blade has a black powder coating and a false edge on the top. The handle is made of black G-10 with red liners and a stainless steel backspacer. The knife has a kydex sheath with a belt loop.
The Kwaiken knife is named after the Japanese sword known as the katana. The word "kwaiken" means "sword" in Japanese. This knife was designed by Mike Vellekamp, who is also the designer of the popular Dirty Bird Knives Bushcraft knife.
The Kwaiken has a very sleek and minimalist design that is perfect for EDC (every day carry). The small size of the knife makes it easy to carry in your pocket or on your belt without being too obtrusive. The black powder coating on the blade gives it a non-reflective finish that is perfect for tactical use. The false edge on the top of the blade can be used for slicing or piercing, and also adds to the overall aesthetics of the knife.
The handle on the Kwaiken is made of black G-10, which is a very tough and durable material that will not crack or break easily. The red liners add a splash of color to the handle, and also provide some contrast against the black G-10. The stainless steel backspacer adds strength and rigidity to the handle, and also provides a place for your thumb to rest when gripping the knife tightly.
The kydex sheath that comes with the Kwaiken is very sturdy and well-made. It has a belt loop so you can easily carry it on your belt or in your pocket. The sheath also has two retention screws so you can adjust how tight or loose you want it to hold onto the knife.
