Real Steel Knives

Real Steel Knives

Real Steel Knives emerged in 2013 from Hangzhou, China, with a distinctive approach to the knife market. Due to Chinese regulations restricting folding knife ownership domestically, the company strategically focuses on international markets, building a global presence that has made them a recognized name among knife enthusiasts worldwide.

The brand has carved out a reputation for delivering quality across multiple price points, offering both budget-conscious options and premium models that compete with established Western manufacturers. Their diverse product lineup spans folding knives, tactical designs, outdoor tools, EDC carry options, and fixed blade knives, ensuring coverage across most knife-carrying needs and preferences.

Real Steel distinguishes itself through thoughtful material selection and innovative design features. Their knives utilize premium blade steels including D2 and S35VN, paired with modern handle materials like titanium that balance durability with weight considerations. The company demonstrates attention to safety and functionality by incorporating automatic safety switches on select models, addressing practical concerns for everyday carriers and tactical users alike.

Collaboration plays a significant role in Real Steel's design philosophy. The brand works with talented designers like Carson Huang, bringing fresh perspectives to their product development and ensuring their offerings remain contemporary and functional. This partnership approach allows Real Steel to blend manufacturing expertise with creative design thinking.

The company's ability to serve multiple market segments—from budget-minded buyers seeking reliable tools to enthusiasts demanding premium materials and construction—has positioned them uniquely in the competitive knife industry. Their range of specializations from tactical applications to everyday carry demonstrates versatility that appeals to diverse user bases. Real Steel Knives continues to expand its international footprint, proving that thoughtful design and quality manufacturing can transcend geographical origins in the global knife market.

Griffin

The Griffin knife is a Real Steel Knives model that was designed in collaboration with custom knife maker, Brad Zinker. The knife features a 3.75" drop point blade made from CPM S35VN stainless steel with a stonewash finish. The blade has a full-tang construction and is deployed via a flipper tab. The handle is made from black G-10 scales and features a stainless steel liner lock mechanism. The Griffin has an overall length of 8.5" and weighs 4.4 ounces. The Griffin's blade is made from CPM S35VN stainless steel, which is known for its excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance properties. The blade has been given a stonewash finish, which gives it a unique patina that will only get better with age and use. The blade has a full-tang construction for strength and durability, and is deployed via a flipper tab. The flipper tab doubles as a finger guard when the blade is open, providing added safety while in use. The handle on the Griffin is made from black G-10 scales, which are extremely durable and provide excellent grip even in wet or oily conditions. Underneath the G-10 scales are stainless steel liners, which add strength and rigidity to the handle while also providing a surface for the liner lock mechanism to engage with when the blade is open. The liner lock mechanism keeps the blade securely in place during use, ensuring safe operation at all times. The Griffin has an overall length of 8.5", making it large enough to be used as an everyday carry knife but not so large that it becomes cumbersome or difficult to carry around. It also features two holes in the handle scales for attaching a lanyard, making it easy to keep track of your knife when not in use. The Griffin weighs 4.4 ounces thanks to its lightweight materials and construction, making it comfortable to carry around all day long without weighing you down unnecessarily
